Dive into adventure in the sun-drenched Florida Keys with the action-packed family favorite Flipper. When Sandy Ricks (Elijah Wood) is sent to Coral Key to stay with his salty Uncle Porter (Paul Hogan) for the summer, he never dreamed he would become best mates with a feisty, orphaned dolphin named Flipper. In no time, the two new friends become caught up in a series of high-seas escapades and Sandy discovers a whole new outlook on life in this heartwarming adventure.
Flipper is a great family classic. I haven't seen the movie in many years and I really enjoyed it. It is cute and perfectly family friendly. It was fun to see Elijah Wood as a kid too.
My kids loved this movie. Here is what they said when I asked them what they thought of the movie...
Owen (age 7): I loved it except for the hammerhead shark thing... well actually I liked it a little bit too. Flipper's tricks were awesome. I am pretty sure he was in the circus. I hated that mean guy that threw garbage in the ocean. Hasn't he ever heard of a garbage can? He was stupid. But Flipper figured it out.
Aiden (age 8): I thought that it was the best movie ever because I like Flipper and Sandy. I liked Flipper's tricks. Some parts were sad but it was happy at the end. I want to swim with Flipper.
Olivia (age 4): I like it because I liked the ending because Flipper comes back. And I like all the music because you can dance while the music is going. I like when Flipper scares away the hammerhead shark.
Thanks so much to Universal Studios Home Entertainment for sending me this movie to review.
