Mabel's Labels * review *

I love Mabel's Labels. They are fabulous any time of the year but they make back to school time significantly easier!! I hate writing my kids' names on every single school supply but with Mabel's Labels it is a breeze.

We were sent a Colourful Ultimate Back-to-School Combo in night racer theme for Aiden to use.

He choose the theme himself and was very excited when they arrived. We labelled all of his school stuff, his new Thermos Funtainer, his ginormous lunch kit (that he choose himself by the way) , his DS and a few of his favourite toys too. The labels are very simple to apply and they seem to stick to pretty much any surface.

For us labels are more than just practical though. Kids with Autism are often very attached to their "stuff" and it actually makes Aiden calmer to know that HIS stuff is labelled with HIS name so that it can't get mixed up with anyone else's stuff and if it gets lost it can be returned to him. Such a simple thing but it really helps him.

My first introduction to Mabel's Labels was in August of 2008 when I won a gift certificate in a blog giveaway. I just want you all to see how well these labels hold up over time.  I had labelled all of Aiden's and Owen's school supplies- from individual pencils as per the school's request to their books and shoes and jackets.

This is a label from August 2008 on the bottom of a juice box container thing. The container has been used pretty much daily, it has been to school hundreds of times, washed in the dishwasher hundreds of times and generally abused for 2 full years. And yet it still looks great...

I think that is very impressive!

Incidentally, just so you know how much I love this product,  I actually purchased (with my very own money no less) two more combo sets for my other two kids and went label happy on all of their school stuff too :).

Owen choose the standard red/green/blue colour combo with a skateboard icon.

Olivia choose the princess colour combo with... you guessed it... a princess icon. I'm sure you are all shocked ;).

Thanks so much to Mabel's Labels for sending me this awesome product to review! Love it!

Great review. I love those labels... I've heard of them before, but I haven't tried them. Love the model as well. So cool and handsome. :-)
